9 Stages into the 2021 Dakar Rally

Second half of the 2021 Dakar Rally began with the first part of a Marathon Stage from Ha’il to Sakaka. In the end, Ricky Brabec would win the stage and rookie Seth Quintero would come in seventh place.

Toby Price began the second part of the Marathon Stage, Sakaka to Neom, with a unique way to patch his rear wheel. The fix held in place and he came in 2nd place followed by Ricky Brabec.

Stage 9, Neom to Neom, was a 359.77 mile loop stage that proved to be difficult for many. In the end Seth Quintero’s vehicle broke down with gearbox issues and Toby Price exited the rally with a broken collarbone and extensive bruising. Stephane Peterhansel is the leader in the Car Category followed by Nasser Al-Attiyah and Carlos Sainz.
