Householder Motorsports came to the recent SCORE San Felipe Challenge of Champions with high expectations. Starting third off of the line, Adam Householder was hoping to move up in season points and improve on his seventh place finish in San Felipe earlier this season. They achieved their first goal, and came up just short on their second, matching their previous seventh place finish. Householder Motorsports is now an unofficial fourth in points for the season amongst SCORE Trophy Trucks.
While most teams would be thrilled with these results, Adam Householder holds himself to a higher standard. “I am a little disappointed in how we did,” Adam confessed after the race. “We had good starting position, but I just pushed too hard through the whoops early on and overheated a shock. We changed the shock out at RM 24, but the stop cost us our advantage and we had to battle traffic. Once I started driving at a more sustainable pace, we did not have any issues for the remainder of the race.” Householder drove the entire race, with Russell Hampton navigating and Adam’s father Terry Householder orchestrating logistics.
Householder’s next race is the Best In The Desert (BITD) Bluewater Desert Challenge in Parker, Arizona on October 14-16. Householder Motorsports is one of the few elite teams who compete in both SCORE International and BITD. They are currently seventh in season points in BITD after winning the Silver State 300 earlier this season. After the Bluewater Desert Challenge, the team will prepare the No. 24 Blitzkreig Motorsports Chevrolet for the SCORE Baja 1000 on November 17-20.
