Parker, Arizona — The BITD Parker 425 is always a much anticipated kick off to the season. This year’s race did not disappoint. BITD continued the 2 race format this year at Parker. The lighter classes got an early 6am start and finish by mid day while the Trick Truck, 1500, 6100, 7200 and 8000 started in the afternoon for three laps around the brutal Parker course.

The action started fast and furious during Thursday’s qualifying on the long 7.5 mile loop as 64 Unlimited vehicles and 37 6100 Trucks raced against the clock for the best starting position.
The real fireworks took place at Saturday’s main event. Weddle-equipped cars crushed the unlimited Class 1500. 1527 CJ Hutchins took the top spot on the podium with 1575 Pat Dean in second and 1589 Jon Walker taking third for an all Albins AGB sweep of the Class 1500 podium. It was a great start to 2018 and we’re looking forward to another great Best in the Desert season.
