Ampudia Brothers Are The Unofficial Winners of the 2019 SCORE Baja 1000

For the third time in history the Baja 1000 was delayed due to unexpected weather.  SCORE did an excellent job taking control of the situation fixing many issues on the race course and started the event 24 hours later than scheduled with minimal changes.  The #10 team of the Ampudia brothers (Alan, Aaron, Rodrigo) and co-driver Steve Covey took the unofficial win in the Trophy Truck class early this morning.

#83 Luke McMillin and Larry Roeseler crossed the finish physically in second but ended up in third after the #76 truck driven by Nasser Al-Attiyah and Toby Price beat them on corrected time.

The 1x team of Justin Morgan, David Camo, Max Eddy Jr. and Shane Esposito took the unofficial win in the Pro Moto Unlimited class.

There is still a long day of racing for most of the racers with the finish line closing at 11pm tonight. Stay tuned for our final story, official results and photos.
