For Immediate Release:

New Egypt, NJ September 29, 2009- Doug Bigelow, owner and driver of the number 5E race buggy, brought the inaugural 2009 short course XOR series championship back to the Emmitsburg, MD race shop this past weekend. Facing tough competition all year at the one mile New Egypt Raceway track, Bigelow battled drivers from all over the north east. Over the three event series and total of nine races, Bigelow won seven of nine heats to include two main feature wins. “We were really happy with the win this weekend and being able to bring the championship back to Maryland in the inaugural year of the series is special to us. The whole team worked hard all year to make this happen and more importantly we are very proud to be able to bring the championship home for our sponsors. Without the sponsors that support us, there is no way any of this could happen. For that we are very proud,” noted Bigelow after the race.
