It’s on. The moment we’ve all been waiting for is less than two hours away from beginning. Though the trucks and cars don’t start until 9am tomorrow morning, the courageous bikes will barrel out of downtown Ensenada in to desert, officially kicking off the 46th running of the Baja 1000. For the trucks, it’s an estimated 19 hours of travel time in one loop consisting of 883 miles of hell. Today was calm before the storm, as every registered vehicle strolled through the main strip in Ensenada at Contingency.
