At Crandon, Curt Leduc announced his retirement from short course racing. Clearly that doesn’t mean his is going to sit on a beach some where sipping margaritas. He’s already added second date to the one and only “Curt Leduc Swap Meet.” This last Sunday, the parking lot on the side of the Morongo Casino Resort and Spa in Cabazon, CA (Near Palm Springs) was jammed packed with off-roaders unloading their parts to other off-roaders. Tons of parts including tires, wheels, shocks, fiberglass, and even full race cars were abundant and lots of deals were to be had.
If you haven’t been before, there are two ways to do the swap meet, as vendor or as a buyer. If you are a vendor, you can come in the night before to set up and “Creep” around with flashlight to try and find the hidden gems. The buyers get let in at 7am on Sunday morning and the whole thing is usually done by 12pm. If you missed it, don’t worry there will be another one in February. So come out and bring all those parts sitting in your shop or garage and turn them into cash or come and find those parts you are looking for. Either way, it’s worth coming to check it out.
