BACK IN BLUE
After an 18 months hiatus from the race track, Brad Gallard and the #454 Geiser Bros Trophy Truck is back in business at the 2019 Tatts Finke Desert Race. Sporting the striking blue livery of his new naming rights sponsor, King Off Road Racing Shocks, Gallard can’t wait to put them to work on the famous Finke whoops.
“I’ve raced on Kings since we first brought the truck to Australia in 2007 and a few of those original shocks are still on the truck today. Brett King and his team have always supported us here in Australia and our long term relationship is now stronger than ever.” said Brad Gallard
Watching Finke from the sidelines in 2018, Gallard was determined to make sure that was a one off experience.
“I put the entry in and got the old band back together to get the truck back up to speed after our crash at Gundy back in 2017. The camaraderie between offroad racers has always been strong and I’d like to thank Greg Gartner and Carl Haby for helping out while we were waiting for parts, so that we could make the startline fresher than ever.”
“Finke is renowned for being tough and rough and the King Shocks set up on our #454 Geiser Bros Truck will do it justice. I’m going to run my own race and I’m looking forward to getting back out there and seeing if the Desert wins or I win.”
“Scott Modistach is back in the navi seat and Dean Keyes who had been an integral part of the crew will jump in to bring it home. I’m back, lets go do this.”
Come down and check out the #454 King Shocks Geiser Bros Trophy Truck at scrutineering on Friday night at the Tatts Finke Desert Start Finishline Complex, or look out for it giving the King Shocks a work out in the desert over the race weekend.
