The Best In The Desert (BITD) BlueWater 425 Presented by Impact keeps getting bigger and better every year! As the first race of the season for BITD, the entry numbers for the 2015 event boasted an impressive 72 unlimited vehicles, 23 Class 6100 trucks, and 44 Class 1000 buggies. Boasting 212 four-wheel entries, the 2015 Parker 425 provided intense competition making the overall and class victories hard fought and rewarding desert assaults.
Impact 2016 Parker 425 PR1With the 2016 BITD race season fast approaching, Impact will commemorate our third year as the presenting sponsor of the 2016 Parker 425 by expanding our support of the desert racing community and standing behind our commitment to make racers safer. In addition to battling for the class win and an early lead in the season points, the winning driver of record and their co-driver* in each class will will also receive an Accel Frontal Head Restraint courtesy of Impact. With deep entry numbers expected in each class, the competition is sure to be fierce with the cream ultimately rising to the top.

Impact 2016 Parker 425 PR2On Thursday, February 4th, you won’t want to miss the Pit Crew Challenge taking place directly after qualifying in front of Parker Motor Company on Main Street in downtown Parker! This is a great opportunity to watch some of the best pit crews in off-road from the 6100 and Trick Truck classes go head to head battling it out to prove who truly is the best race team in off-road. Further building on Impact’s commitment to safety for all participants, the top finishing 6100 pit crew team will be awarded with three crew suits and three crew helmets, compliments of Impact!
Last but not least, in 2015 BITD introduced new safety requirements pertaining to fueling. On Friday, February 5th, Impact will be on-site for tech and contingency and will have close-out specials on fire suits, pit crew helmets, gloves, and more. Many of the top teams in desert racing outfit their pit crews with Impact’s full line of crew-specific suits, helmets, gloves and shoes. The inevitable fine print: Impact Accel frontal head restraints must be redeemed by the winning driver of record (DOR) in each class by Sept. 1st, 2016. The winning DOR will be provided both Accel devices (driver and co-driver). Claims made to Impact by co-drivers will be referred back to the driver of record for redemption. The highest finishing 6100 pit crew team will be awarded with three Racer two piece crew suit and three Impact over-the-wall style helmets; no substitutions. Pit crew products must be redeemed by the driver of record by Sept. 1st, 2016.
