INOHVAA and NOHVCC Annual Conferences are Next Week – Review Conference Info Below!

The INOHVAA and NOHVCC conferences are only a few days away and below is a quick recap of the news items that have been sent recently to help you get ready for the conference. Please take a look below, and we will see YOU in Grand Rapids, Michigan next week!

Hotel and Airport Shuttle Information

For transportation to the DoubleTree from the airport – Conference attendees can call for the hotel shuttle by using the courtesy phone near baggage claim. DoubleTree is #1 on the board. The phone rings to front desk staff who will provide ETA for the shuttle. The shuttle runs every half hour from 5:00 AM-11:00AM.In the afternoon and evenings, the schedule is less structured, but the shuttle makes frequent airport runs. Front desk staff will provide instructions where to wait for the shuttle, and there are signs in the airport to direct hotel guests to the appropriate area.

Mobile Workshop

If you are taking the bus from the Conference hotel – please be in the lobby/registration area no later than 6:45 am, the bus will depart at 7:00 am.

The staging area for the Mobile Workshop is the Webber Township Park, Baldwin, Michigan; located on Michigan Highway 37 just South of 16th Street. (Click herefor map) Overnight camping is not allowed at the park. If you are bringing your OHV, it must have a Michigan OHV sticker (provided at the staging area). Be prepared for sandy, dusty, and maybe hot conditions on the trail. Lunch and refreshments will be provided.

It is important that you comply with the safety requirements for all participants. Anyone who operates a dirt bike, ATV or ROV, or who rides as a passenger in an ROV, MUST wear all appropriate safety gear. For all vehicles this includes a DOT-compliant helmet, goggles, long sleeve shirt or jersey, long pants, over-the-ankle boots, and gloves. All gear must be worn at all times while operating any of these vehicles – including while loading and unloading.

Raffle Items

Once again, NOHVCC will host a speed raffle at our Saturdaynight Banquet and Awards Ceremony. Last year’s raffle was a huge success and your generosity helped to offset the costs of the Conference. If you have items that you can donate – club hats, jerseys, mugs, t-shirts, gear or other new, or race-worn items by recognized racers, please bring them along and any proceeds raised by the raffle will be used to support NOHVCC. NOHVCC will be bringing along a few items as well.

If you do not have items to bring – don’t worry. You can support NOHVCC by purchasing raffle tickets. It’s a classic win-win!
