Jason Scherer Qualifies First For King Of The Hammers

There is nothing left to do now. Starting positions are set. Game plans will be made. The starting order for the Nitto Tire King of the Hammers Race Presented by Optima Batteries has been decided. Separated between two days racers battled a qualifying course mixed with short course, desert and rock obstacles just like the brutal course they will be facing on Friday.

Last year Jason Scherer set the fast time during qualifying and this year he did it once again. After the first day last years winner Erik Miller was qualified first with a time of 1:40:24, and his time looked to hold until Scherer, who was one of the last to go today laid down a 1:39:02.
