Madison, WI (June 11, 2012) – Keith Steele heads to Crandon looking to capture his first PRO podium behind the wheel of the #29 Race Team Gear Chevy PRO-2 truck. The family owned and operated team from Madison, Wisconsin may be looked at as an underdog in the ultra competitive TORC PRO-2WD division, but off-season equipment upgrades and test time definitely makes Steele a competitor not to be overlooked.
The 2011 TORC season saw Steele and his team run a limitedschedule, competing at both Crandon events, and Chicagoland. The team’s best finish was a fourth place at Chicagoland. Keith also filled in for an injured Rob MacCachern behind the wheel of the Jenkins Brothers PRO-2WD #21 and finished second at the August Bark River as well.
During the off-season Steele Off-Road improved the Stamper-tuned race truck in the driveline and powerplant areas as well as introducing 5-Star Race Bodies to the world of TORC off-road racing.
The team’s marketing program continues its relationship with Race Team Gear and has added Schaeffer’s Oil, Discount America Hobby and Motorsports, Stonemill Construction, and Olson Logging to its list of associate marketing partners.
If you can’t make it to Crandon this coming weekend (June 16-17) to watch Keith Steele and the rest of the TORC PRO and Sportsman competitors, check out the live XSAN internet broadcast:http://www.ustream.tv/xsantv .
