Kincaid Earns First Ever TORC Pro2 Victory, Another Greaves Father-Son Victory

Monday at the Buffalo Chip Powersports Complex, Jeff Kincaid crashed his Traxxas-sponsored PRO 2 during practice, for the TORC: The Off-Road Championship Presented by AMSOIL race here, rendering it unusable. Kincaid used a PRO 2 from fellow racer Mike Jenkins and put his son, defending PRO Light champ Keegan Kincaid, behind the wheel for the Battle at The Chip.
That decision paid off immediately.

Keegan lead Rd. 11 Tuesday but fell to fourth after a tire went down but on Wednesday, the recent winner of five-straight PRO Light races earned his first-ever PRO 2 race win, topping class points leader CJ Greaves for the top step of the podium. It was also a strong race for Nick Tyree, who ran in the lead pack for most of the race and moved up one spot in the points standings.

In PRO 4, Johnny Greaves returned to his accustomed position atop the podium after putting his Monster Energy machine at the front of the pack early in the race. Tuesday’s race winner, Mark Jenkins, took runner-up honors with Scott Douglas and his AMSOIL ride rounding out the top three. The battle between Douglas, Mark Jenkins, and Mike Jenkins, who finished sixth, was intense and the best action on the track. Douglas was second with only a couple turns to go to the checkered flag, but Mark Jenkins was able to overtake the experienced veteran.

Finally, in PRO Light, it was a flip of the PRO 2 race with CJ Greaves holding off a hard-charging Keegan Kincaid for the victory. Tuesday’s winner, Jerett Brooks, finished third. Doug Mittag, who has led the class points standings for much of the season, is now tied for third with CJ Greaves. Mittag and Brooks, Team Cooper Tire teammates, made incidental contact at one point in the race while battling for position, but Brooks apologized during the post-race interviews.
