BAJA RALLY General Director Mauricio Parra said Canadians are well known for coveting Baja California’s culture, climate and cuisine and that the 2020 travel restrictions created an unprecedented demand for “snowbirds” to resume their seasonal migratory pattern.

“Lawrence Hacking was an influencer before that word was ever used as we know it,” Parra explains, “He’s a humble sportsman and selfless leader who other motorcycle racers naturally follow. It’s a great boost for our newly expanded, 6-day format that he has decided to put his stamp of approval on us and rally his countrymen toward our race.”

From the onset of the global COVID-19 Pandemic, travel restrictions for Canadians has been particularly stringent with a 14-day quarantine mandated for any Canadians returning from international travel. This resulted in over 15 Canadian racers having to withdrawal from the 2020 BAJA RALLY and every one of those received full refunds of entry fee.

Parra described how this created the opportunity for his BAJA RALLY organization to establish a revised and relaxed refund policy and special terms unique to Mexico, Canada and the United States.

“We created a policy and guarantee for residents of each country that ensured they would have an extra layer of COVID-19 refund protection that goes beyond the already relaxed policy in place. It literally guarantees that government mandated travel restrictions, if legally enforceable, will protect them if they can’t travel to our Six Day BAJA RALLY.”

ENTRY LIST UNVEILED       as of Feb 15
