Madigan Motorsports – Shop Tour

Race-Dezert.com hit the road again and this time travel to Menifee, CA and made a stop at Madigan Motorsports. Madigan was opened in 2001 by Tom Madigan. He started out by building cages and some long travel kits and other suspension pieces. They evolved into building full race cars and trucks from the ground up. Tom was approached by  Full Potential and worked along with them building sand cars, FIA Dakar Rally Cars, and short course cars such as the Superlites that are still raced in LOORRS today.

Tom has now started his own business and is based out of Menifee, CA. They are a full service shop and can do everything from a complete ground up build to just a simple bumper addition.

In house they have a CAD designer and can draw up anything you can imagine. They also have a CNC Plasma table that is able to cut out any part drawn up.

One of the current projects you will find in the shop is this Chevy Prerunner. It is being built as a Baja prerunner that you can drive down to Baja and prerun the Baja 1000 and then drive it back home! Its powered by a Danzio LS1 with a custom 8 into 1 stainless steel header built by Madigan Motorsports.

It also features custom coolers and radiator built by Madigan Motorsports as well.

You will find this Class 1 car in the shop also. It started out life as a class 10 car and was converted to a class 1 after winning the SNORE class 10 championship last year. It is now 92″ wide x 120″ long and features a Nissan 3.5 Twin Turbo with a Fortin 6 speed.

One of the other things that caught our eye in the shop was this UTV that is being built into one badass machine! This is a Can-Am that is getting a DOM TIG welded chassis and cage. Along with that is a fully custom aluminum body and dash. Also notice the 3rd seat that is being integrated. The suspension is being totally redone as well with a full long travel kit and King shocks. This will be one awesome UTV when its done!

Off-Road cars and trucks aren’t the only things being worked on here though, choppers are also in the shop getting customized!

Need a chase race for your chase truck? No problem Madigan can do that as well!

As you can see Madigan Motorsports is able to pull off just about any project you can think of. Contact them @ (951) 813-7096 with any questions you have about how to make your idea come to life or what it will take to get your race car prepped and ready to go for the next race. Be sure and check out the rest of the pictures in the gallery below to see the other projects going on in the shop. Race-Dezert would like to thank Madigan Motorsports for letting us stop by and get an inside look at the shop!

I've been to the shop and and am completely amazed by the quality of the work coming out. Tom's welds are art!
Tom and his team are a well oiled machine that produce some of the finest cars I've ever seen.
Chris at Danzio recommended him to me for some repairs to my sand car and so far I'm blown away.

If you own a 2014/2015 XPK or XPK4, this is the place to go for your long travel and build.
No disrespect to the kit HCR builds, but do your own due diligence before you invest.
