Preston Campbell’s Double Duty efforts land him a D37 H&H Championship!

For the second time in 2 weeks, JCR/Honda’s Preston Campbell pulled a heavy race schedule, racing the AMA National Hare and Hound (NHHA) in Jericho, Utah on Saturday and then driving an all-night to race an AMA District 37 Hare and Hound in Red Mountain, CA on Sunday morning.

NHHA Round 5:
The Sage Riders MC laid out two 40 mile loops that took the riders to elevations over 7500′ and back, starting with 7 miles of dunes. Preston landed a top 5 start at the bomb and quickly moved forward to solidly set himself in 2nd overall by the end of the first loop. The young Red Rider was in a furious battle for the podium. Overcoming some mechanical hurdles following a collision with another racer, Preston put in a hero effort and held on for a solid finish in 4th overall on the day and now sits in 3rd in National points going into the summer break.

D37 H&H Round 5 (Final Round D37 H&H)
Since racing 3 brutal hours of Hare & Hound isn’t enough on Saturday, Preston made the overnight trek from Utah to Red Mountain, CA for the final round of the D37 H&H Championship. This round was hosted by the Invaders and Rovers MCs and featured 2- 35 mile loops around Spangler OHV. Netting a 3rd off the dusty bomb start, Preston set his sights on the leader and quickly moved his CRF450X to the top spot, and the battle heated up as the leaders exchanged positions several times. Navigation and speed proved to be the key, and Preston grabbed his third win of the series and secured the 2021 AMA District 37 Hare and Hound title, and the first Off-Road racing Championship for American Honda in the 2021 season.
