BACKGROUND: Members of the media are invited to attend a live teleconference and Q&A with Subaru Rally Team USA’s David Higgins and Hoonigan Racing’s Ken Block on the eve of the Lake Superior Performance Rally on October 18-19th held in Houghton, Michigan.

After an amazing rally racing season, Higgins and Block are facing a winner take all situation at LSPR – the concluding chapter in the Rally America National Championship. Only five points separate the Subaru and Ford drivers in the Rally America standings, and the oldest, meanest, and toughest Rally America event is all that remains between them and the Rally America crown.

At Rally America’s season midpoint David Higgins and co-driver Craig Drew shot out to an early points lead and were just one win away from locking up their third consecutive Rally America National Championship title. But their title has remained elusive when Ken Block with co-driver Alex Gelsomino suddenly won the next three event wins to force a showdown at LSPR.

Rally America only factors the top six results out of seven events to determine the titleholder. After subtracting the low scoring result prior to LSPR, Higgins leads the Rally America points standings by 97 to Block’s 92.
