Corona, California (March 14, 2017) – Saf-T-Co Supply is Southern California’s leading distributor of PVC and steel conduit, utility boxes and a host of other products that are essential supplies for those in the construction business but are of no use in off-road racing.
That didn’t keep Saf-T-Co Supply and Dana Dague from stepping forward to sponsor the Mini Stock class in this year’s Lucas Oil Regional Off Road Series, however. He calls it a way to give something to the customers who have made his family’s business a success and a sport he has loved for years.
“We supply electrical conduit and dry utility products to the construction industry and most of the people involved in off road racing are in construction,” Dague said. “We’re a family business and off-road racing is great family fun for us, so when they were asking people if they knew anybody that might want to sponsor a class I said we will.
“We’ve been in business almost 30 years and this is just kind of giving back a little bit.”
Dague and his family have competed in desert races for years. He and 14-year-old son Chaserecently drove to a class win in the NORRA 1000, he was the 2009 SNORE Mini-Metal champion and last weekend he, brother Brian, 18-year-old daughter Maggie and Chase drove a Ford to victory in the Vintage class of the Mint 400 in southern Nevada.
Maggie and Chase both are competing in the Mini Stock class during the Southern California Regional season. The next round will take place May 6 at Lake Elsinore Motorsports Park.
