As the inaugural season of the Lucas Oil Off Road Race Series reached the mid-way point, Rounds 7 and 8 kicked off July 25th and 26th under the bright lights and evening skies of the Lake Elsinore Motorsports Park. Making a surprise mid-season debut at the Lucas Oil Off Road Race Series, Team LeDuc Racing rocked the nearly one-mile track by earning a total of four first place trophies over the weekend.
Starting in the 8th position in the Unlimited 2 class for Saturday’s Round 7, Todd LeDuc methodically made his way through the ranks to take home the first place trophy. Sunday’s Round 8 once again found Todd dominating the field of 17 competitors and earning the top podium.
Qualifying in the second position for Saturday’s Round 7 was Kyle LeDuc in the No. 99 Rockstar / Makita Unlimited 4 while father, Curt LeDuc in the No. 43, took to the starting line in the fifth position. As the green flag dropped, it was obvious LeDuc Racing was not satisfied with just one class win. Unfortunate mechanical issues plagued Curt all weekend and took him out of contention but Kyle stepped up to the plate, sweeping the highest place on the podium for both rounds of action. Previously winning five out of the last six Unlimited 4 races during the inaugural LOORRS season, Carl Renedezer experienced back-to-back upsets during Rounds 7 and 8 as Kyle LeDuc dominated the field and earned both checkered flags.
