SUBARU MOTORSPORTS USA INSIDER REPORT
LSPR 2019 EDITION
Here we go! Kick off of the final rally of the American Rally Association (ARA) season, Lake Superior Performance Rally, takes place on Friday, October 18th. With LSPR joining the ARA calendar for the first time this year, 2019 will bring Subaru Motorsports USA – and 2016 winners David Higgins and Craig Drew – back to Michigan’s Upper Peninsula after a three-year absence. This event is a photogenic rally known for its autumn foliage and is a favorite of rally fans. The pressure is off for Higgins and Drew, who have already mathematically secured the 2019 ARA Driver’s Championship, and the pair will face off against teammates Oliver Solberg and Aaron Johnston for the event win. Solberg, fresh from his eighteenth birthday and first WRC event at Wales Rally GB, has a chance to earn a spot on the championship podium with a strong performance this weekend.
See you at the finish on Saturday – don’t forget your rain gear!
