What’s Happening at Glen Helen Raceway: HYR 6 Hour Endurance Race and REM Saturday MX
• The 17th Annual HYR Endurance Race Series kicks off March 13th at Glen Helen with a 6-Hour Race.
• Teams consist of 3 riders and 2 bikes. Registration is $90 per team; gate fees are $10 per adult and $5 for children 6-12.
• The 6-hour race will run from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM.
• All riders welcome, no membership required!
• REM Saturday MX on the back track on Saturday.
San Bernardino, Calif. – March 9, 2011 – Glen Helen Raceway proudly welcomes Racing Enterprises Motorsports back for another round of their popular Saturday MX series, and Honda/Yamaha of Redlands for the opening round of the 2011 HYR Endurance Race Series at America’s playground in Southern California on Sunday.
REM Saturday MX provides a fun and relaxed environment for racers of all skill and experience levels to come out and race on Glen Helen’s popular back track. A variety of classes are available, and all racers are welcome. For more information, check out www.remsatmx.com.
Sunday’s opening round of the HYR Endurance Series is a 6-hour race that runs from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM on Sunday the 13th. The race is open to riders of all skill and experience levels, and no membership required to race. Gate fees are $10 per adult and $5 for children 6-12 years of age. Registration for the race is $90 per team ($45 for Ironman class teams).
Teams will consist of 3 riders and 2 bikes, with one bike remaining impounded at all times. All teams must have the same team number on both bikes, front and left. No headlights are required!
Transponders will be used. Rentals are available for $25. Teams may rent transponders with a $100 deposit, with $75 refunded upon return. Teams must switch transponder each time they exchange bikes. Team members may not work on the impounded bike.
All classes will be represented! Expert classes are broken into 250-Open, 125-250, 30+ and 40+. Sportsman classes are broken into 250-Open, 125-250, 30+, 40+ and 50+. Additionally there will be a Women’s Class, Women’s Sportsmen Class, Business Class, Family Class and Ironman Class.
