NEW! Campbell Racing Combines Efforts for ULTRA4

Badlands Win
More than 30 teams competed in the 2nd Annual
ULTRA4 race held at Badlands Off-Road Park last Saturday as part of the Ultimate Motorsport Championship in Attica, IN. While the course layout was similar to last year, the dry and dusty conditions of 2012 were replaced with heavy rain and extensive mud.  Thousands of fans braved the wet and mucky conditions for a chance to see some of their favorite
ULTRA4 drivers compete in a course that featured a newly created off road amphitheater and a technical rock quarry made even more punishing due to the slick conditions.
Several west coast teams made the trek to Indiana including;  Shannon Campbell, Jesse Haines, Troy Stone, and Nitto Tire drivers Nick Nelson and Loren Healy.  Shannon Campbell, the only two-time King of The Hammers and this year’s 2nd place KOH finisher, laid down a blistering 45 second qualifying time, beating out 2012 King, Erik Miller by 5 seconds.  One second behind Miller was this year’s 3rd place KOH finisher, Chicky Barton.

2013 ULTRA4 Nitto National Championship Moves to Las Vegas

TEMECULA, CA July 3rd, 2013: ULTRA4 Racing announced this week that the Nitto Tire National Championship will be moved from Texas to Las Vegas, Nevada. The race will now be held on Moapa Indian Reservation land on Friday, September 27th. The land is located just north of Las Vegas, NV, and the new location offers a combination of high speed desert and technical rock crawling. Drivers can expect similar terrain to ULTRA4’s biggest race, the Griffin King of The Hammers Presented by Nitto Tire.

“Moving the championship was not a decision we made lightly” said ULTRA4 Racing founder, Dave Cole, who went on to say, “Las Vegas provides easier access for fans and sponsors and the venue offers ideal terrain to showcase our drivers and our series.  The Nitto Tire National Championship is growing, and the Las Vegas property provides room for that growth.”

The Las Vegas property is also large enough to accommodate more than 50 cars, which was the limit in Texas. The top 50 ULTRA4 drivers based on series points will still be given first priority to race at the championship. However, the race will be opened to all ULTRA4 drivers as well as Pro Comp Stock and Rubicon Express Modified vehicles who wish to compete in Friday’s race.

Pre-running will be available on Thursday with the race the following day. Starting position will be determined by Nitto Tire National series points; the driver with the most championship points will have the pole position.  Should there be a tie in series points, starting position will then be based on the drivers’ highest scoring single race in the 2013 season. East Coast Drivers that have raced in 2013 with the intention of going to Nationals should keep a look out for a pending announcement in the next several weeks regarding fuel credits to help with the additional fuel costs.

Online payment and registration forms for the championship will be available soon.  Hammerking is in talks with a host hotel in Vegas and will also be announcing a host hotel in the coming weeks.

Additional information regarding the Nitto Tire National Championship will be available at www.ultra4racing.com
