California City, CA – October 5, 2017 – Lou Peralta, President and CEO of AVE/BP RACING announced today that Yamaha has stepped up to “Present” and “Sponsor” the final event of the PURE UTV OFF-ROAD DESERT SERIES; The PURE “250” – October 28, 2017 with a GUARANTEED PURSE OF $1000, and at the same time provide a great opportunity for the general public to drive YAMAHA’S brand new UTV/SXS YXZ 2018 models.

The weekend on Saturday, October 28 promises to be a fun-filled weekend with both the all-out PURE UTV 250-mile race and the Yamaha YXZ 1000 Consumer Demo. Bring the entire family as everyone is welcomed. Entrance to the ranch is free but everyone must sign a Liability Release form.

Lou Peralta and staff have designed a neat off-road course to allow prospective enthusiasts a chance to drive the new models over a five-mile lap. This course has been laid out totally separate from the race course and is on the West Side of the AVE Ranch.

Everyone is invited to participate, whether as part of a team racing, people who visit the always popular Cal-City OHV desert area and/or the general public.

During the Yamaha Demo, each participant will have the opportunity to drive the brand new Yamaha YXZ models around the course, which includes whoops, sand rails, a short wash, a few rocks and plenty of “G-outs” to keep it challenging and fun.

Yamaha provides a Lead Official to take drivers around really neat areas of the desert. Yamaha also provides a Trail Master who will bring up the rear to make sure everyone is accounted for. All this takes place in the County of Kern, using unmaintained County roads, trails, and grandfathered roads.

The October 28 race and new-model “Demo” promises to be a “slam-bam-thank-you-mam” event that will fill your Saturday.

The YAMAHA “Demos” start at 9 am until 4 pm. Those wishing to take a turn driving need to check in at the YAMAHA tent to sign up, get properly checked-in and also sign the proper documents. While there, you can also watch the race that starts from 10 am until 4 pm.
